Pardon My French: A Night With DJ Snake, Tchami, & Mercer

This Saturday, the French invaded Grand Central Miami for the first night of the  Pardon My French tour. France has brought us some great names in music from super popular DJs like David Guetta and Martin Solveig to new names like Madeon. With that kind of repertoire, it’s not a surprise how amazing the lineup was for this event with Mercer, Tchami, and DJ Snake. The show was free with RSVP and sold out as quickly as it became available so there was a great crowd waiting for their sets.

I hadn’t heard much of Mercer before Pardon My French. I try not to dance too much when the first DJ is playing to conserve my energy for the bigger name DJs. Mercer wasn’t having any of that. Right when I hit the dance floor I was jamming and going hard with the crowd. Mercer really set the tempo for what would be an epic night in Downtown Miami.

Tchami entered the DJ booth in a dark and mysterious setting as the crowd chanted his name. Fresh off the boat from Holy Ship, it’s obvious Tchami still had the grooves flowing. If you love Deep Bass, you will enjoy a Tchami set to the fullest capacity. He dropped his popular hits like “Untrue” and “Shot Caller”, and even played his remix of Jack U’s “Take U There”.

It was hard to imagine that anything was gonna top Tchami’s set. Then entered the ultimate-hype DJ, DJ Snake. Wearing sunglasses and looking cool and ready to party, he brought up the pace like a pro. It takes someone with serious skills to drop the entrance song of the Lion King and make it an awesome dance hit. When “Get Low” with Dillon Francis came on, the entire audience got down to the ground and jumped up when the beat dropped. DJ Snake knows how to party and he proved that in Miami on Saturday. He embodies the lifestyle of Turn Down for What.

What made the night epic was the surprise appearance by Skrillex during DJ Snake’s set. The crowd mobbed when Skrillex got on stage. This is foreshadowing the upcoming collab between DJ Snake and Skrillex which we’ve included below.
