Hop Jam Beer and Music Fest Returns to Tulsa in May

The second annual Hop Jam Craft Beer and Music Festival is announced for Sunday May 17th in Tulsa’s Brady Arts District. The festival, which features a large scale all ages free live concert area, and a robust craft beer festival, are focused on elevating their offering in all aspects, from beer selection to music lineup, for the 2nd annual event.

In its first year, The Hop jam claimed record attendance for a craft beer festival in Oklahoma, bringing together more than thirty thousand guests, making it the largest attended craft beer event in the state, with 13 brewers present from across Oklahoma.

“We were blown away by the response to the first Hop Jam, but there was a clear message from many guests – more beer!! We’ve set out to make sure there is not only more beer but a little more of everything from music to food, and a fun environment for everyone that joins us,” said event co-founder Taylor Hanson.

In response to 2014’s success the festival has set out to expand their offering for the second annual event, increasing to 30 brewers, many of whom will be attending the festival in person. As well as encompassing all of Oklahoma’s top breweries, the lineup includes top national and international craft brewers, with many of those available for the first time ever in Oklahoma.

Also new for 2015 is the opportunity to purchase tickets in advance. A special Hop Head VIP ticket is on offer, which includes unlimited beer tasting and exclusive merchandise. Tickets are available starting today at TheHopJam.com, along with more information about the entire lineup of brewers and artists.

The concert will again feature HANSON,along with The Polyphonic Spree, Black Joe Lewis, Jamestown Revival and Horse Thief. In addition to the already robust music lineup, one lucky Oklahoma artist can win the opportunity to kick off the day’s music through the Awesome Music Opening Band Contest organized in partnership with the Tulsa World and the Oklahoma Film + Music Office. Artists can submit their music starting today at TulsaWorld.com/AwesomeMusicContest.

For Hop Jam 2015, event founders Hanson Brothers Beer will again partner with Oklahoma favorite McNellie’s Group to host the event. These two groups bring a shared interest in cultivating the craft beer community and fostering world-class music events in Oklahoma, a combination of elements that is uniquely blended at this year’s Hop Jam Festival.

The commitment by the The Hop Jam to enrich the community extends beyond the event itself. The festival will help feed the hungry through supporting The Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.
