Recently introducing the “Starter” package which prices a 2 night stay at a measly $120 per person, The Rock n Roll Resort will give you either a king size bed for two or two queens, full resort access from Friday, May 1st to Sunday, May 3rd, but no meals. Even without the meals, this package is a great, easy way to swing this years Resort for first time festival goers. Friday and Saturday’s schedule can be seen below. You could see all off these acts for $120, sounds like a deal to me.
If staying the night isn’t for you or a day is all you can squeak in to your schedule, not to worry. The Resort offers you a cheap and easy option of $50/day pass or $80/weekend pass.
Starting from The Werks Pre-Party with After Funk and Cosmal in New Paltz on Thursday, April 30th throughout the entire weekend, there are acts you cannot miss. Besides the obvious headliners: Fishbone, Easy Star All-Stars, and getting lucky enough for two doses of Twiddle, the Resort recruited a killer line up on the lower end of the bill. Artists like Consider the Source are always a festival favorite. If you have not seen these guys it is a must. A double neck guitar lead by Gabriel Marin and the mesmerizing slapping of John Ferrara’s bass is truly a combination that cannot be missed. Upstate NY favorite Lucid will be gracing the festival with 2 sets and with plenty of hometown love surrounding this bluesy jam style band, both sets are guaranteed to be a hell of a time. Other acts like Sophistafunk, playing heavier type of funk fusion and Organically Good Trio ft. Paul from Slightly Stoopid bringing reggae vibes are names that you must put a star next to when they hand you that schedule as you check in.
There is an option for everyone at this years Rock n Roll Resort, the fifth of its kind. The experience is truly custom to fit the weekend you desire.
