WaNEEEEEE! The 2016 lineup is here. Boy, is it ever!

lasers 1The lineup for the 2016 Wanee Festival at the magnificent Spirit of the Suwanee Music Park (Live Oak FL) was released this morning. As expected, there are numerous Wanee veterans in the mix, some new faces, and many delightful surprises.

Wanee is the music house that the Allman Brothers built and headlined for the first ten years of its existence (including the Wanee Family jam year). At the 11th edition the torch was passed to Widespread Panic, and they return to lead the music charge this year.

Also performing are Wanee favorites Gregg Allman, Gov’t Mule, Les Brers (Butch Trucks’ superb band), Oteil and Friends, and Electric Hot Tuna, this time with Steve Kimock!

How about two nights of Umphrey’s McGee? Damn right! Warren Haynes also appears with his brilliant Ashes and Dust Band, and Bill Kreutzmann delivers Billy & the Kids.

We’re just getting warmed up! Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers will be there as well. And the North Mississippi Allstars unite with Anders Osborne to present N.M.O. Conspirator and Soulive are both back to funk and jam you up, and Kung Fu brings the ‘70s fusion up to date.

Speaking of funking you up, The Stanley Clarke Band makes its first Wanee appearance, while Dumpstaphunk channels Earth, War & Power! Nigel Hall is in the house! Better hang on tight. This stuff’s getting deep!

The Wood Brothers, Tribal Seeds, Bobby Lee Rodgers Trio, the Devon Allman Band, Big Something and Maisden Ward and the Mama Bear round out this amazing lineup.

Early bird tickets sold out November 23rd. The first tier of three-day tickets and three-day VIP tickets will be on sale Monday, December 14th at 10 am.
