SXSW is Just Around the Corner!
The legendary music, film and interactive festival SXSW will be celebrating its 30th birthday this year. The SXSW Music Festival is one of the largest and most influential global music events of the year, taking over Austin venues and showcasing artists ranging from the unsigned to superstars across all genres. At SXSW 2015, more than 30,000 music industry professionals and musicians took in six nights of performances in over 100 downtown venues, with a lineup featuring 2,200 acts from 62 foreign countries. While the whole event spans ten days, the music segment will take place from 3/15-3/20. As it goes with city festivals, there’s no camping, but there are many great hotels to chose from. Some highlights from this year’s lineup include Crystal Castles, Micachu and the Shapes, Alex G, Downtown Boys, Har Mar Superstar, Hinds, and Pure Bathing Culture.
