BERNIECHELLA is Coming to California

Bernie Sanders has been garnering support from musicians of all genres, from the Red Hot Chili Peppers to Vampire Weekend, over the course of his quest for the Democratic party nomination. The campaign’ latest effort is bringing multiple musicians together for an event thats been dubbed BERNIECHELLA, a two-day event that will take place in the days leading up to the second weekend of Coachella Thursday, April 21, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, April 22, on Grapefruit Boulevard and Vine Street in Old Town Coachella.

Alex Ebert (of Edward Shapre & The Magnetic Zeroes), Ozomatli, Grupo La Meta, Moses Sumney, Rodrigo Amarante and Venus & The Moon, as well as DJs Shepard Fairey, Richard Montoya, Allie Teilz, and Zoe Kravitz are all billed to take the stage at the two-day event.  There will also be live art, interactive instillations along with a beer garden. In true Bernie style, the event will be free and open to the public thanks to organizers donating their services to make this incredible gathering happen.

The free event is expected to draw between 1,500 and 3,000 people, although similar events nationwide have attracted as many as 10,000 people. To find out more information and to RSVP you can goto the events Facebook page.
