The SXSW Conference and Festival has announced its week of operation, taking place from March 10th – March 19th.

Some examples of these Conference tracks include Augmented/Virtual Reality, Experiential Storytelling, Intelligent Future, Entertainment Influencers, and Making Music, following through on SXSW’s promise to bring “unparalleled opportunities to discover and connect.”SXSWeekTimeline-2017-1440x810
The SXSW Music Festival has hosted a vast array of artists, spanning genres from jazz and Americana to hip-hop and experimental. Previous artists that have graced the stage at SXSW include Anderson.Paak & The Free Nationals, Mitski, George Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic, Jamie xx, Iggy Pop, and Blood Orange, to name just a handful. But it’s not just the Music that drawss the big names at SXSW.

The SXSW Film Festival garners its own reputation of special guests and conference alumni who have been climbing their way to the top. Films such as Everybody Wants Some!! , the spiritual successor to Richard Linklater’s Dazed and Confused, as well as the newly released Don’t Think Twice from director and comedian Mike Birbiglia screened their way through the SXSW Film Festival as they moved to wider distribution.

The SXSW Comedy Festival has hosted collaborations with Comedy Central, Upright Citizens Brigade, and Earwolf, bringing in sketch comedy, improv, standup, and live podcast recordings to the Austin audience. Past comedians who have taken the SXSW stage include Dan Harmon, Nick Kroll, Emo Philips, Chris Hardwick and Natasha Leggero.
