TAUK Unveils Crosscountry Tour, New Album ‘Sir Nebula’
The TAUK boys simply cannot sit still. After blowing up the summer coast to coast with a ton of festivals and shows, they are gearing up for 50 more dates running all the way to New Year’s Eve at the House of Blues in Boston with Lettuce. TAUK continues to throw down ‘Heavy Instrumental Rock Fusion,’ one foot squarely in the funk/fusion-laden ’70s and the other at the forefront of today’s funk scene.
As they crisscrossed the country this summer, they delighted fans at High Sierra, Flood City Music Festival, Wild Woods Fest, Merryland Music Festival, Highberry Music Festival, and Feels Good Folly Fest. They played with String Cheese Incident at Red Rocks and just knocked them out at Camp Barefoot.
Next up is a set at Backwoods Fest in Stroud OK, followed by two shows in one day (!) at North Coast Music Festival in Chicago and then the Afterparty playing as TAUKing McGee with Vulfpeck at Concord Music Hall. After their show at Shangri-La Fest in Minnesota, TAUK really gets down to business.
The release party for the new album, Sir Nebula, will be a two-night affair at the Brooklyn Bowl on September 16 and 17. Their special guests the first night will be lespecial, and on the next night they will be joined by Hayley Jane & the Primates and by Upright Man.
After that, Matt Jalbert, guitar; Charlie Dolan, bass; Alric “A.C.” Carter, keyboards/organ; and Isaac Teel, drums, will hit the Resonance Music and Arts Festival and Catskill Chill Music Festival. From there, they will travel through the Midwest to the West Coast, then the Southwest, back to the Southeast, and up the East Coast.
