Jack White: A Double Album, an Upcoming TV Appearance and an Acoustic Single!

On September 9th, Jack White will gift fans with a career-spanning double album that revisits and strips down tracks from the Nashville artist’s entire discography and even introduces previously unreleased music. Jack White: Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016 is a 26-song collection that will rework pieces from all of White’s projects from The White Stripes to The Raconteurs to solo recordings.

jackwhitebluevinylEarlier this week, Third Man Records announced that a special limited-edition colored vinyl will be available in person only at Third Man Records’ Nashville and Cass Corridor, Detroit, storefronts. Good luck getting your hands on a copy of one of those gorgeous LPs if you can manage!

White has also scheduled an end to his break from performing live for the same date as the album release. Next Friday night, the artist will appear in support of the acoustic compilation on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. It will be his first time playing to a live audience since 2015 and his first televised solo acoustic performance ever.

The musician may have taken a break from live shows, but he still kept busy in 2016. Jack White has occupied himself with several unique projects this year from playing the first-ever vinyl record in outer space to joining Nashville’s Council on Gender Equality. After making his mark on the history of vinyl and the fight for gender equity, Jack White the artist is ready to return, and fans are anxiously awaiting his arrival.

This week, White gave us a peek at what we are all waiting for. Check out the acoustic version of The Raconteurs’ “Carolina Drama” from the 2008 album Consolers Of The Lonely. As an acoustic track, the song pacifies the electrified original, making the murderous ballad even more eerie… if that is at all possible.
