Only 7 More Days Until Riverhawk Festival 2016!

The 2016 Riverhawk Music Festival brings together an amazing mix of Bluegrass and Americana music for a weekend of family-friendly fun. The festival is being held November 10th through 13th at the Sertoma Youth Ranch in the rolling hills of Brooksville, Florida. This annual festival is known for bringing in national artists as well as up-and-coming regional artists from across the roots genre. It also has a dedicated band of campfire pickers who will keep the fires burning after the shows.

The lineup includes The Travelin’ McCourys, Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen, Solas, Delta Rae, The Darrell Webb Band, Driftwood, Cornmeal, Eastman String Band, The Doerfuls, Mark Johnson, Mustang Sally and the Hamjos, Lagerheads, New 76’rs, West King String Band, Paul Sprawl, Bill Blue, and Soul to Earth.

Shinyribs

Shiny Ribs– You aren’t going to want to sit down for this show. Their powerful mix of “country-soul, swamp-funk and tickle” will have you out of your seat and shaking your money maker.

Mipso– Their three-part harmonies and fresh take on traditional bluegrass will embrace you like a warm Appalachia breeze.

The Honeycutters

The Honeycutters– Give them a listen for one verse, and this band will have you hooked. The sincere vocals and thought-provoking lyrics of frontwoman Amanda Platt are accompanied by an equally talented band of musicians who complement each other seamlessly

Grandpa’s Cough Medicine

Grandpa’s Cough Medicine– This trio has created a unique Outlaw-Bluegrass sound with rapid-fire banjo, flat-picking guitar wizardry and boundary-breaking lyrics.

The Applebutter Express

Applebutter Express– Bring your dancing shoes for this one. They have a funky bluegrass sound with lyrics that will leaving you smiling.

The scenic campground provides an intimate setting for music lovers of all ages. The RV sites book up well in advance, but there is ample space for primitive camping, bath and shower facilities, and plenty of activities for the kids to explore. There is a café onsite if you don’t want to cook all of your meals, and they also sell ice and firewood. You will find groups of friendly campfire pickers throughout the park, so bring your instrument and join in a few sessions or just sit back and enjoy the music.
