In addition to all the killer music going on, there will be a lot of additional activities to enjoy. Sloss Tech will return on Friday, July 14th, at the Lyric Theatre to kick off Sloss Fest weekend. The preeminent Technology Festival in the Southeast, Sloss Tech will again showcase thought-provoking presentations focused on the latest in emerging technologies and innovation, highlighting local companies, and providing a platform for the tech community to network and share ideas, with the goal of elevating and strengthening the profile of Birmingham’s technology community. Organizers say this year’s event will be even bigger than last year’s, which drew close to 600 people from all over the Southeast.

The expanded Piggly Wiggly Craftly Beerly Garden will return as well as the Sloss Metal Arts Program with live iron-pouring demonstrations throughout the weekend, plus the API Poster Show, artists and craft vendors. The Seasick Records Stage will also return with an expanded lineup of local bands slated to perform throughout the weekend, and Starr Hill Brewery will return with a special Sloss Fest specialty brew debuting at the festival. The Outdoors presented by Alabama Outdoors will return this year to outfit festival-goers with all the necessary festival survival gear! And if you ride your bike to Sloss Fest, feel like a high roller when you valet at the Redemptive Cycles Bike Valet. More on-site festival activities will be announced!
