Rhythm In Motion 002: Verbal Ase does the Laid-Back Dog + Free Sound Pack

The second episode of Rhythm and Motion is here! This week, we take our podcast to Sophisticated Delinquency‘s Brooklyn studio for a collaboration with our collective’s co-founder/producer Eli Cure and guest Adym Stevens Evans, aka Verbal Ase, the beatboxer from outer space.

If the name sounds familiar, you may have come across him on your commute on the New York City subway. Known as the guy performing with just a microphone, a speaker, and his voice, he has since 2011 become a viral success, giving him a worldwide platform where he has performed on America’s Got Talent and in venues like Madison Square Garden.

In spite of our cameras shutting down towards the end of the episode, our nervous host smiling way too much (seriously, its creepy!), and our internet not cooperating to upload the video file, Mr. Cure managed to have a conversation and jam session with Verbal Ase that was really something else! They discuss everything from Verbal Ase’s story, girls, NY, and how to get into beatboxing, and we jam a laid-back dog.

We were excited to do this live collaboration with the New York staple and look forward to bringing you more gems along the way with none other than Verbal Ase.

In addition to the podcast, we worked closely with Verbal Ase to create a FREE high-quality sound pack for all of the aspiring producers out there. It includes over 50 kicks, snares, hats, vocal samples, and loops + Ableton drum kits. To download it, click the picture below. Enjoy!
