Double Your Pleasure: Two Weekends of Austin City Limits Music Festival!

Weekend One or Weekend Two? The lineups for the two weekends at Austin City Limits Music Festival are largely the same, especially the headliners, so you can’t go wrong with either one. On the other hand, if you pick BOTH, then you’ll be able to see even more artists.

But you WON’T be able to see them all. With three dozen performers each night, you’ve got your work cut out for you. Will you pick the headliners? Up-and-coming bands? Artists you’ve never heard of before? Try to fit some of each into your dance card. (You might need a crowbar.)

Weekend One is October 6-8, and Weekend Two is October 13-15. Let’s look at some of the performers playing both weekends.

FRIDAYS

The opening day lineup is simply over the top, with Jay-Z, Martix Garrix, The xx, Ryan Adams, Solange, Foster the People, Bonobo, Crystal Castles, Skepta, The Revivalists, and James Vincent McMorrow in the mix. Vulfpeck, The Lemon Twigs, Valerie June, and Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness are also on the card. Also note, second Friday only, Eagles of Death Metal.

SATURDAYS

Equally ridiculous is Saturday’s schedule, with headliners Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chance the Rapper, Ice Cube, Spoon, A$AP Ferg, RÜFÜS DU SOL, Russ, Cody Links, and Līve. Benjamin Booker, Car Seat Headrest, Angel Olsen, and Mondo Cozmo will also play.

SUNDAYS

Congratulations! You’ve made it to day three! Keep your strength up. You’re going to need it! Coming at you: The Killers, Gorillaz, Run the Jewels, The Head and the Heart, Vance Joy, Milky Chance, Portugal. The Man, First Aid Kit, Louis the Child, Danny Brown, Badbadnotgood, The Growlers, Brothers Osborne, Rainbow Kitten Surprise and Skip Marley are just some of the day’s delights.

But wait! There’s more! Not tired after a long day? How about late-night shows?
