Galactic is Making Their Way Across the US This Winter!

Is it just me, or does Galactic pretty much live on the road? I feel like I run into these guys everywhere! Clearly, this band does not tire out. Every show is full of energy and movement. Galactic is one of those bands that fully comes to life onstage. Some music is just meant to be heard live.

The funk superstars are continuing their boundless touring schedule this winter. To close out 2017, they will play the historical Tipitina’s on New Year’s Eve, a venue that’s like a second home to the New Orleans natives. They will appear at Sunshine Music Festival on January 13-14 in St. Petersburg and in Boca Raton before taking to the seas for Jam Cruise.

Once again, Galactic heads home for their annual celebration of Mardi Gras at Tipitina’s on February 10 and 12 and will then continue on throughout the U.S. We can’t wait for their post-Fat Tuesday stop at Brooklyn Steel. The less-than-one-year-old venue is spacious, yet intimate, the perfect accommodations for the funky dance party that the band is sure to bring to NYC on February 17.

Galactic are masters at modernizing traditional New Orleans sounds and never cease to keep things fresh with powerful guest vocalists, a fierce brass section and relentless rhythm. The band has yet to release new music since their 2015 album Into the Deep, but with more than two decades of material, they have plenty to work with onstage.
