Michelle Malone – Southern Americana Blues Hits The Attic In Ybor

Grammy-nominated Michelle Malone, the longtime blues-inspired Southern Americana singer/songwriter, will finally make a swing through Florida to hit The Attic At Rock Brothers in Ybor City on January 18th. She rarely makes her way to the Sunshine State, so don’t miss this chance to catch a show in this great venue.

Hailing from Atlanta, Michelle has had a long and storied career in music. She has released 14 studio albums and recorded with everyone from Gregg Allman to ZZ Top. She appeared on the Grateful Dead tribute album Deadicated, playing with The Harshed Mellows on a version of “U.S. Blues.” She’s won gold and platinum records as a songwriter for such acts as The Indigo Girls, Antigone Rising and more. Her songs have appeared on True Blood, Dawson’s Creek and more.  The hugely popular game Magic: The Gathering was even named in part after her song “The Gathering.”

With a sound that ranges from quiet acoustic ballads all the way to screaming slide guitar, her songs are fiercely personal. The phrase ‘No Holds Barred’ applies in her approach to her music and to life. At the same time, the music comes across as intimately familiar, something that everyone can relate to.
