Delve Into the Line-Up: Dirtybird Set to Heat Things Up This February

From the creators of Lightning in a Bottle out in Bradley, CA, and sister-festival Dirtybird Campout West, Camp Counselor Claude VonStroke and The Do LaB are migrating South for the Winter for Dirtybird Campout East on February 1-4, 2018 in St. Cloud, FL, easily accessible from neighboring Florida cities Tampa, Miami, and Orlando. While this may be a camping festival similar to the days of Summer sleep-away camp, this will be a 21+ festival to revisit childhood memories of tug-o-war and dodge-ball, get together for a comedy show or late-night campfire storytelling, or even join in on the oddball personality of Florida with something like alligator wrestling.

While the list of activities organized may make it feel like a full-on Summer Camp, let’s not forget this is also a music festival curated by none other than Dirtybird Record Label Owner/Producer himself, Claude VonStroke. It may be questioned if CVS will even find time to sleep this weekend, seeing his name all over the line-up between his stage acts Claude VonStroke, Barclay Crenshaw, or Get Real (alongside Green Velvet.) We may also see him take turns with the likes of other Dirtybird pros and newcomers alike. With a stacked line-up of DJ’s of all types and styles, here is our list of acts to check out at the inaugural year of Dirtybird Campout East:

Bruno Furlan

The young’n known as Bruno Furlan is here to remind the older generations, that while House music has been around for decades, the current generation of producers has a couple names making the genres of house, techno, and tech-house proud, as one of the youngest producers on the Dirtybird label. This is a great way to warm yourself up to house music that is coming from Brazil right now. Furlan is also in works of releasing a couple records that are co-produced with VonStroke himself, so it is very possible we see both of them control the decks together.

Claptone

Known worldwide as one of the biggest names in House music, Berlin-based Masquerader CLAPTONE is also set to appear at the inaugural Dirtybird Campout East. This will be a great time to catch the legendary producer, right before the release of his new album, Fantast, which is set to release later in the year. To get a taste of what a Claptone performance is like, check out his Beats 1 “Best of 2017 Mix” below.

Marshall Jefferson

Dirtybird Campout East is also set to host other legends, such as one of the original founding fathers of House music Marshall Jefferson. This will be a great opportunity to catch the Chicago House OG on this side of the Atlantic as Jefferson now resides in the UK.

Craze

Besides the House/Tech pros set to take the stage in St. Cloud, we will also see a properly curated list of DJ’s from all disciplines. Fellow Florida native, Craze is set to continue the dance party with a different pace followed by the likes of Miami bass, drum and bass, Hip Hop, and his mastery of turntablism. Known as the only DJ to ever take three consecutive DMC Championships, Craze is a scratching master respected in the entire community and will bring a high-paced energy for those ready to sweat their problems away as you get blown away by one of the best turntablist in the game.

Seth Troxler

Finally, if you are able to sneak away for an extra day from the Winter weather and be a part of the festivities down South, global force Seth Troxler is set to warm up the party on Thursday night. If you have the opportunity to make it a four-day weekend, get your Early Admission entrance and check out one of the hardest working DJ’s in the world known for going as long as you allow him. He will bring a very DEEP set for those ready to marathon.
