Limited tickets remain for the St Augustine Amphitheater, where Los Angeles Tex-Mex legends Los Lobos, Southern blues rockers North Mississippi Allstars and The Marcus King Band will share the stage with JJ Grey and Mofro. The lineup changes slightly at The Fillmore in Miami Beach with Texas roots rockers The Greyhounds replacing Los Lobos.

Swamp rock doesn’t adequately describe the steaming gumbo of rock, soul, funk and blues that is JJ Grey and Mofro. Jacksonville native Grey is all heart and raw, throaty soul who tirelessly tours the world with his talented band Mofro. Grey reaches deep into the souls of fans and earns devoted new ones with stories of the South and everyday life layered over filthy rhythms and raging guitar licks that have been known to make grown men weak in the knees.

It’s been over three decades since Grammy award-winning Los Lobos hit the scene with their powerhouse mix of Tejano rock, country, folk, R&B and blues. Many know them best for their smash single “La Bamba,” but the California quintet have remained innovators jamming with the same intensity they had as younger men.

The stage sizzles when brothers Luther and Cody Dickinson of North Mississippi Allstars shake it down with country blues and heart-pounding rock. Luther pours his soul into vocals and guitar while Cody dazzles on drums, piano, synth bass and vocals – sometimes all at once. They carry on the rich musical legacy of their home state with an eye and ear to what is fresh, innovative and modern.

South Carolina native and blues prodigy Marcus King astounds and amazes on guitar and vocals that belie the fact that he is only 21 years old. King calls his music “soul-influenced, psychedelic Southern rock” played by a  masterful band made up a swampy horns, funky keyboards and a powerful rhythm section. Together they are blowing away audiences across the country.

Texas blues are stamped all over the The Greyhounds. The band’s core musicians, keyboardist Anthony Farrell and guitarist Andre Trube, pay special respects to the deep songwriting traditions of their hometown, Austin.
Having played with such musical greats as Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks and toured with JJ Grey as part of Mofro, The Greyhounds now shine on their own.
