Jamie Hewllet Confirms Gorillaz Return

Feel Good! Jamie Hewlett, one of the original creators of the Gorillaz, recently took to his instagram to share some new artwork of Murdoc and Noodle, the bands fictional cartoon characters. A lot of speculation followed and excitement started to build with the thought of a new Gorillaz album.  One fan asked if this meant we would be seeing more Gorillaz to which Hewlett replied “Yes, Gorillaz return.

It’s been 3 years since The Gorillaz released their 4th studio album, ‘The Fall.’ Damon Albarn released ‘Everyday Robots’ last year followed by a few big festival performances including Bonnaroo where he brought out Deltron for “Clint Eastwood” and De La Soul for “Feel Good Inc.” In an interview late last year with The Sydney Morning Herald, Damon Albarn said that he was “is in the process of reactivating Gorillaz for a 2016 release.” It’s great to know that everything is in motion and we’re closer to a new Gorillaz album with every day that passes.
