Twiddle & Kung Fu Take The Dirty Dozen Tour to NYC

Night three of The Dirty Dozen Tour came through New York City on Friday and just like the first two shows on the tour, they were completely sold out! Teddy Midnight took the stage at Irving Plaza first, giving the crowd an immediate burst of energy to start the night off right. The Brooklyn based band has been making quite the name for themselves, recently playing Dopapod’s album release show and opening for Stratosphere All-Stars. As the venue began to fill to its capacity, Twiddle took the stage and began a long set that left not one person standing still. Throughout the set Kenny BrooksTim Palmieri and Wiley Griffin took the stage to play some tunes with Twiddle. The set was a perfect blend of fan favorites like When it Rains it Pours and exciting dance inducing jams. The set ended seamlessly, with Kung Fu joining for a superjam while Twiddle slowly migrated off the stage. Before anyone in the crowd had a chance to realize Twiddles set had ended, Kung Fu went full speed ahead into their set. To me this made the entire show, there was no loss of energy between sets and really gave the crowd the full feeling of a co-headlining tour. Kung Fu put on a dynamic set that kept the crowd moving late into the night, not slowing down until they closed their set with Do The Right Thing. For the one-song encore, both Twiddle and Kung Fu came out to do an amazing rendition of Shakedown Street. There are 8 dates left on The Dirty Dozen Tour, be sure not to miss it in a city near you!
