The 5th Annual lespectacle Should Not Be Missed
The 5th annual lespectacle will take place at The Paper Box in Brooklyn on Friday, October 23rd. According to the event’s organizers, “lespectacle is an annual music event focused on creating an immersive and cinematic atmosphere augmented by state-of-the-art lighting, visuals and sound to showcase some of the most forward-thinking music artists in the Northeast and beyond. A Samhein theme welcomes you into a netherworld filled with strange sights, unique sounds, costume-clad patrons and an experience that everyone takes with them.” The Paper Box is a perfect venue for this event; the semi-DIY venue has multiple rooms, an enclosed open-air smoking section and no shortage of colorful patrons. The venue is also premiering a brand new stage featuring the work of lespectacle collaborators Battle HIll Forge, The Reliquarium and Drew Suto.
This year’s lespectacle has a stacked lineup, featuring performances by El Blanco Nino, Ross Jenssen, Teddy Midnight, Esseks, Horizon Wireless, Supersillyus Life Band and, of course, lespecial. The night is scheduled to begin at around 9 pm and go well into the night, making it the perfect after-show for someone who’s planning on hitting String Cheese Incident at MSG that night (we all know how early those shows tend to end).
