Escaper Will Join Gowanus & Sprocket at Brooklyn Bowl Tonight!

Escaper has come a long way since they were named one of our On the Rise artists six months ago. The group is gaining traction in the scene rapidly; they’ve been signed by Ropadope Records, released their debut track “Castles” in December, are recording a full album, and have played a plethora of amazing shows in the Tri-State area. Tonight, Escaper will take the stage at Brooklyn Bowl once again.  The show was originally scheduled for March 14th, but due to a pretty big flop of a Nor’easter the show was rescheduled to tonight. Escaper will start the night off and warm up the crowd for Sprocket and Gowanus.

If you’re just hearing about Escaper now, the first thing you need to know is that the Brooklyn-based Post-Rock/Space-Funk Fusion quintet strive for a sound without limits, blending soaring melodies provided by Will Hanza (guitars) with funk-laced rhythms laid down by Andrew Nesbitt (drums) and Jay Giacomazzo (bass). Weaving through this sound are the intricate yet lyrical textures of Adam Ahuja (keys) and Johnny Butler (sax). You can get a little taste of their sound from the clip of their last show at the Brooklyn Bowl below. Tickets are available through Brooklyn Bowl; and all tickets purchased for the 14th will be honored at the door. Escaper takes the stage at 8, so make sure to get there early so you can soak in ALL the funk!
