Vlad the Inhaler wants YOU to Represent at Hulaween Silent Disco

Vlad the Inhaler claims dual citizenship. He is loyal to Jacksonville AND also to Live Oak, specifically the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. In addition to performing at various festivals dozens of times, he is one of the park’s best ambassadors, working tirelessly on event after event.

And speaking of tireless, that’s what Vlad is going to be, as he is the curator of this year’s Hulaween Silent Disco, which will keep the party going — via headphones — from 2 to 5 AM at Thursday’s pre-party and then again Friday and Saturday.

For those who have never experienced Silent Disco, attendees wear headphones which can typically tune to two different channels and have adjustable volume. At any time, there are two DJs, or duos, or even bands, playing directly into the sound system so that there is little or no music out loud (maybe electronic drums or saxophone, for instance). You can switch back and forth and watch those listening to channel one rage to a different groove than channel two.

Each night there are three one-hour slots with two DJs or performers each hour. Funkstatik and Nick Fresh have the honor of kicking off the party Thursday at 2 AM, followed by Rosa Sparks and Aurakull at 3 and Ivarr and Nugz Bunny at 4.

Friday the lineup features Chris Watson and Dumbtron (2 AM), Jody Litvack and DJ Earl (Teklife) at 3, and Zerogravity and DJ Shotgun at 4.

Vlad, who also has a Patch set Thursday at 1:30 PM, opens Saturday’s event along with The Groove Coalition, with Eazybaked and park favorites MZG at 3, then Hikuri Roots and Sodown (DJ set) will put the silent disco to bed when they conclude their 4 AM sets.

Remember the festival mantra: YOU CAN SLEEP MONDAY!

Don’t make him come put those headphones on your head!
