Tortuga Music Festival Rolls onto Ft. Lauderdale Beach with Florida Georgia Line, Snoop Dogg, Keith Urban!

As summer quickly approaches, we realize that music festival season has begun to bloom. Now in its fifth year, Tortuga Music Festival will take over Ft. Lauderdale Beach Park on April 6 – 8. This year’s lineup is nothing short of spectacular, featuring some of the most popular touring acts in country, rock, hip hop and other genres.

If you have never attended Tortuga, be prepared for a weekend of music, dancing, making new friends and whatever else comes to mind when you are there. Although most come for the music, there are plenty of activities to do while you are there. After all, you are on the beach in South Florida. Does it get much better? And of course, let’s not forget that the festival has a much deeper purpose than simply the music.

The festival’s roots were initially a vision to create a gathering of people to celebrate their love for music and the ocean. The festival’s focus is specifically aimed to help save the world’s oceans. Through its partnership with the Rock The Ocean Foundation, Tortuga brings attention about the issues that are affecting the oceans. With its focus on marine conservation, the festival and its fans have donated over a million dollars for ocean conservation.

Bridging the gap between music and the ocean is a vision that is shared not only by Chris Stacey, the festival’s founder, but also by many of the artists who have performed in previous incarnations of this great festival.

Headlining this year’s Tortuga Music Festival are Florida Georgia Line, Keith Urban, Snoop Dogg and Eric Church. There will be plenty of music from a variety of artists to satisfy the eclectic tastes of those attending.

If you seek a deeper understanding about the festival’s true purpose, head over to Conservation Village, where you get an understanding of the five core issues that the Rock the Ocean Foundation focuses on. Experts will be on hand with fun, educational and interactive activities that will bring a better understanding of shark and turtle conservation, marine pollution, overfishing, and coral reef degradation. You will get a chance to meet the experts working in the field who can share their perspective on the state of the oceans and what can be done to improve not only marine life but also the oceans to be enjoyed by future generations.
