Beach Blanket Bingo? Nope! It’s Okaloosa RevFest in Ft. Walton Beach!

What do you get when you combine the beach, beverages, bands, and a sand bar? Obviously, the answer is Okaloosa Revfest VI, gearing up for next Saturday’s festivities (April 7th) at KC’s Sand Bar in Fort Walton Beach. Okaloosa RevFest is a revolution in Art and Music for Okaloosa County, and New Earth Army and compatriots are thrilled to bring you the 6th edition of this great event.

Prepare yourself for some amazing music beachside. This year’s headliners include The Fritz, Holey Miss Holey, the Savi Fernandez Band, and hosts New Earth Army. The Panhandle is well represented, and three great artists at large top everything off.

The Fritz are Asheville’s funk ambassadors, and their performances are simply legendary. We challenge you to sit still. Never mind. You won’t! Holey Miss Moley from “all over Florida” are a ten-person funk machine, with excellent singers, great percussion, dynamite horns, and killer keyboards and bass.

Savi Fernandez brings the funk with heavy doses of reggae, rock, blues, and more. His uplifting persona and amazing guitar work will keep you mesmerized. And hosts NEA have been representing for West Florida for years with a killer band, magnificent lead vocalist, and two horns out front (Josh Zook is returning!).

El Dub will also be on hand from “the road.” I’magene brings their retro electro soul from Destin. Also from Destin is the acoustic rock trio The Good Lookings. Hoosier rocker Tyler Mac now works out of Pensacola and will have his band in tow. The John Hart Project plays alternative soul, also from Pensacola. The Graytones represent Grayton Beach with their funk jam.

Add to the list The Scratchtones. Also Big Jam Space Driver, a quintet including John Hart. And you’ll certainly enjoy a group of Leon High School (Tallahassee) students and alums who play funk, rock, blues and jazz under the moniker Good Little Chickens.

The aforementioned Josh Zook (alto and tenor saxes) is an artist at large. So is Hub Chason, and joining them is Scott Rockwood, leader of The Scratchtones.

Bring your blankets and your chairs and relax at the beach for an amazing day of music!

Want to get started early? Savi Fernandez is playing at AJ’s on the Bayou in Fort Walton on Friday night!
