Breakaway from Reality: Breakaway Music Festival in Nashville
October 5th in Nashville was a day of worlds colliding, with EDM and hip hop cascading into an event, Breakaway Music Festival. With performances from artists such as Lil Pump, GRiZ, and Wiz Khalifa, it was an evening full of dancing and nodding of heads to some funky beats!
The festival was held at Nashville’s Bicentennial Mall State Park, with one stage and an excellent view of the Nashville skyline. Along with the singular stage, there were many areas for photo ops, sponsored booths from brands such as Playstation and Blu, and a handful of standard festival shopping booths.There was also a large Silent Disco area playing host to local DJs playing all night long.
Overall, Breakaway seems to be a festival curated towards a younger, all-ages crowd. It was very well organized and never felt overcrowded or like anything was less than well thought out. The only thing that may have been a second thought was the water refill station, which was just a staff person with a water hose. Overall, if the lineup interests you, take a break away from reality and jump over to Breakaway when it hits Charlotte, North Carolina, this weekend!
