Lionel Richie, Bobby Brown, Stephanie Mills, En Vogue, Teddy Riley Headline Miami’s Jazz in the Gardens Music Festival

Some of the biggest names in music are scheduled to play the 14th Annual “Jazz in the Gardens” music festival held at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida. The two-day music festival spans the weekend of March 9-10 and is presented by the City of Miami Gardens.

Music heavyweights Lionel Richie, Bobby Brown, Stephanie Mills, En Vogue, Teddy Riley among other notable artists are included in this years lineup. The festival features a variety of prominent national and local bands scheduled to take the stage.

The event continues to grow in popularity each year, event organizers expect a whopping 60,000 people to fill the grounds at Hard Rock Stadium home of the NFL’s  Miami Dolphins. Hailed as the “the adult winter break destination” makes Miami the perfect venue while the rest of the nation begins to thaw from the winter freeze.

Celebrating a historic career in music, 5-time Grammy Award winner Lionel Richie will bring his easy-listening style of music to South Florida. With over 90 million records sold worldwide, Richie continues to deliver some of his mega hits to audiences worldwide. His career started in 1968 with legendary funky and dance soul group The Commodores. His solo career produced several number one hits including Truly, You Are, My Love, Can’t Slow Down, and All Night Long.

Credited with creating the “new jack swing” style of R&B music, Teddy Riley is known as a singer/songwriter who has worked with Michael Jackson, Bobby Brown, Keith Sweat, Doug E. Fresh, Today, Heavy D & the Boyz, Hi-Five, Men of Vizion and Profyle, Guy and Blackstreet. The multi-instrumentalist music legend, Riley co-produced half of Michael Jackson’s Dangerous album on the recommendation of Quincy Jones, who was Jackson’s long-time record producer.

Tickets prices vary, starting at $72 plus fees for a general admission single-day pass, to $158 for a two-day prime reserve pass. Discounts are given for advance ticket sales and groups. Tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster and the Hard Rock Stadium Box Office.
