Suwannee Roots Revival Announces Schedule Teaser

The 4th annual Suwannee Roots Revival festival gave us a schedule teaser, with more artists still to be announced. Held at the majestic Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Like Oak, Florida, October 10-13, the festival includes four days of music, workshops, dancing, and some of the best camping experiences around.

We are anxiously awaiting the full lineup and schedule, but you can get a few hints of what the weekend has to offer below.

Thursday

The festivities begin on Thursday with music on three of the five stages. The Amphitheater stage opens with Brett Bass and Melted Plectrum, followed by sets from Lindsay Lou, The Lil Smokies, We Banjo 3, and the only set from Samantha Fish. You can catch sets on the Porch stage by Sloppy Joe, Quartermoon and Nikki Talley & Jason Sharp. The Dance tent will be hopping with the tunes of The Grass is Dead, Joe Craven & The Sometimers, Jon Stickley Trio, and contra/square dancing hosted by The Dunehoppers with Andy Jane as caller.

Friday

Start off your Friday with yoga in the Dance tent lead by Rhonda Bell with music by Arvid Smith. Then get your dancing feet ready for a full day of musical magic. You won’t want to miss your chance to see the legendary Del McCoury or the fabulous The Lee Boys since they are only playing on Friday. Also scheduled for sets that day are We Banjo 3, Front Country, The Lil Smokies, Jeff Mosier Ensemble, Jon Stickley Trio, The Baulkin Brothers, Seth Walker, Grass is Dead, Lindsay Lou, Joe Craven & The Sometimers, Donna Hopkins, Ralph Roddenbery, Dread Clampitt, Brett Bass & Melted Plectrum, Nikki Talley & Jason Sharp, Quartermoon, Sloppy Joe, and The Walker Family Band.

Saturday

Saturday has a few one-day-only performances that you won’t want to miss by Sam Bush, The Travellin’ McCourys and Keller & the Keels.  There will be five stages of music to choose from with sets by Peter Rowan, Verlon Thompson, Donna the Buffalo, Seth Walker, Grass is Dead, Brett Bass & Melted Plectrum, Front Country, Baulkin Brothers, Joe Craven & The Sometimers, Jeff Mosier Ensemble, David Gans, Donna Hopkins, Ralph Roddenbery, Dread Clampitt, Nikki Talley & Jason Sharp, Quartermoon, Sloppy Joe, and The Walker Family Band.

Sunday

Sunday is dedicated to the late Vassar Clements and always has a special vibe, with old friends and new coming together on stage to celebrate, spread the gospel of music, and close out the festivities with a collaboration of spirits. Stick around for sets by Peter Rowan, Verlon Thompson, Donna the Buffalo, Brett Bass &Melted Plectrum, Grass is Dead, David Gans, Jeff Mosier Ensemble, Ralph Roddenbery, Nikki Talley & Jason Sharp, Quartermoon, Sloppy Joe, and the kids of Tania & The Magic Moon Traveling Chorus.

Throughout the weekend you can explore the wooded trails among the park’s 800 acres, check out the arts and crafts along vendors row, learn some new skills at one of the workshops, and get your fill of delicious food and treats from the food vendors.
