Superb Miami-based Jazz Quartet Abstract Citizen Tuesday at Judson’s Live
Abstract Citizen have been dazzling audiences throughout Florida and beyond with their wonderful mix of bold, modern jazz with deep multicultural Miami roots, and they are heading to Judson’s Live at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Orlando Tuesday, July 15. Two-time winners of the South Arts Jazz Roads tour of the Midwest, Abstract Citizen are led by Aaron Lebos and powered by a new generation of rising stars: Marty Quinn (bass), Vania Junco (vocals), and Lucas Apostoleris (drums). Lebos has been a huge presence on the Miami scene for almost three decades. He has fronted various ensembles, including amazing current trio Anemoia. He created Abstract Citizen to explore new directions and foster collaboration across generations.
