New Dawn Starkestra: Asheville’s Latest Musical Gift
Asheville continues to produce incredible music, and one of the latest offerings is New Dawn Starkestra, a monster quartet of unlimited potential. Consider the personnel, truly stunning, and that’s before you hear what they do! Jazz, soul, fusion, rock, sheer heaven.
The group is fronted by the brilliance of vocalist and songwriter Rebekah Todd. She is joined by young guitar phenom Isaac Hadden and monster bass player Quinn Sternberg. A drummer? Yep, they’ve got one. My favorite drummer on the planet, Apt. Q258; perhaps you know him as Jeff Sipe.
