Mothers Finest: funk gettin’ ready to roll… and rock!

Mothers Finest formed in 1970, and for 55 years they’ve lived by one motto: “Too Funk for Rock, Too Rock for Funk.” Except that neither is true. The Atlanta sextet throw down an astonishing brand of Mothers Finest music that attracts fans across a wide swath of genres, and they never disappoint. These are — by far — some of the “hardest working people in show biz.” Mothers Finest has a huge following in Europe as well as here in the States.

Mothers Finest are ready to “Do the Monkey” starting at Newberry Opera House February 6 and The Premier in Hickory the following day. After a pair of shows at Walhalla Performing Arts Center, they will hit Marietta, Raleigh, Alexandria, Camden SC, and Williamson GA.

The band will travel to Kunstrasenbonn Open Air in Germany July 8 for a show with Nile Rodgers & Chic and Kid Creole & The Coconuts. On July 31 they will perform at Classic Rock Night in Winterbach along with Uriah Heep and Wishbone Ash.

And then there is the Mothers Finest Too Funk for Rock, Too Rock for Funk five-night Caribbean Cruise out of New Orleans September 14–18.
