Melody Trucks & The Fitzkee Brothers Prepare for Great Upcoming Shows

Melody Trucks and The Fitzkee Brothers have great dates scheduled through the end of September. Percussionist and vocalist Melody Trucks, daughter of the late Butch Trucks, founder and drummer for The Allman Brothers Band, has been working with outstanding young brothers Alex Fitzkee (19), drums, and Drew Fitzkee (21), bass and vocals, successfully for several years, and the brothers have grown greatly in stature and abilities.

First up are two dates joined by special guests Vaylor Trucks, guitar; Peter Levin, keyboards; Lamar Williams Jr., vocals; Will Bart, guitar; and Yattie Westfield, drums. On August 24, they will play a free show at Kennedy Plaza in Atlantic City. The following day, they will officially be celebrating 55 years of “At Fillmore East” at Freeman Arts Pavilion in Selbyville.

Trucks and the Fitzkees will be special guests of The Artimus Pyle Band August 29 at Pat Garrett Amphitheater in Strausstown.

Next, they will match up with a familiar companion, guitarist Joe Marcinek, for three shows way out west. Their first show is at Big Blues Bender in Las Vegas September 10. Two days later, they will play a free show at Liberty Sports Bar & Grill in Mammoth Lakes, and their collab finishes with Marcinek’s Grateful Roots Summit at June Lake Jam Fest.

Melody and the Fitzkees will close out September with a set at Annapolis Baygrass Music Festival.
