Suwannee Amp Jam #3 Channels the Spirit of Bear Creek with 2027 Lineup Featuring Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Lettuce, Oteil Burbridge, Soulive and More
February may be frigid in some parts, but the third incarnation Suwannee Amp Jam #3 will be turning up the heat at the mystical Spirit of Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL with a lineup that reanimates the soul of SOSMP’s legendary Bear Creek Music & Arts Festival upon its 20th anniversary. Headed by Bear Creek alumni Joe Russo, who will play two sets with Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Lettuce (two sets) and artist-at large Oteil Burbridge, the three day soiree will take place February 25-27 with its most expansive billing yet.
Joining the diverse lineup spanning funk, soul, jam, Americana, bluegrass, blues and southern rock will be Danial Donato’s Cosmic Country, Dumpstaphunk, Soulive, North Mississippi All-Stars, Ghost-Note and supergroup Daze Between Band featuring an all-star line up including Burbridge, Eric Krasno, members of Dumpstaphunk and more. George Porter, Jr., New Orleans funk icon and legendary bassist for The Meters, will also be on hand for a performance with his band Runnin’ Pardners.
With a nod to Wanee Festival, The Allman Brothers storied SOSMP gathering, Amp Jams #3 will also showcase the debut performance of Common Saints, another blockbuster collective made up of prolific pedal steel guitarist Roosevelt Collier, Widespread Panic drummer Duane Trucks, Gov’t Mule bassist Kevin Scott, Warren Haynes Band keyboardist Matt Slocum, and New York-based guitarist Rick Lollar (Larkin Poe, Col. Bruce Hampton).
Rounding out the lineup are British soulsters Mamas Gun, Bella Rayne Band, led by 19-year-old guitar phenom Bella Rayne, former Gregg Allman Band keyboardist Peter Levin and his trio including The Fitzkee Brothers and Melody Trucks, Jacksonville-based southern rockers Bonnie Blue, and Zenzi, the explosive Florida funk syndicate made up of members of Minim, Ajeva, Antelope, Voodoo Visionary, Souza, and Joy Wagon. The billing also features a congress of powerful female artists including vocalists Lenesha Randolph (Robert Randolph & The Family Band), Alecia Chakour (Tedeschi Trucks Band), and Kanika Moore (Doom Flamingo, TAUK Moore) who will be making guest appearances throughout the festival.
Although next year’s musical offerings have expanded since the festival’s inception in 2025, the festival will remain intimate and retain its familial spirit with performances taking place solely on SOSMP’s Amphitheater Stage. Attendees can camp just a short distance away beneath the park’s many live oaks situated on 800-acres abutting the fabled Suwannee River.
