Remain in Light in Europe, Cool Cool Cool Summer Shows

Cool Cool Cool will again collaborate with Jerry Harrison and Adrian Belew on their Remain in Light Talking Heads show, performing with them as well playing their own sets. These shows are spectacular, and this is the first time presenting this music in the Great Britain and in Europe!

Harrison (guitars, keyboards, vocals) and Adrian Belew (guitars, vocals) were members of Talking Heads. They wanted to recreate that sound and were fortunate to discover Cool Cool Cool (formerly Turkuaz) to help fill out that full band sound. This collaboration began in 2021 (or perhaps earlier?). After Suwannee Hulaween 2021, Turkuaz bifurcated, and seven of the former members stayed together, eventually taking the name Cool Cool Cool (because, well, THEY ARE!).

For the Remain in Light shows, the Cool Cool Cool folks include Craig Brodhead, guitar, synths; Chris Brouwers, trumpet, keyboards; Shira Elias, vocals; Sammi Garett, vocals; and Greg Sanderson, tenor saxophone. Former Cool Cool Cool member Josh Schwartz (baritone saxophone, vocals, JOSCH) returns, and Julie Slick, the Adrian Belew power trio bassist, anchors the proceedings. Of important note is the return of powerhouse percussive engine Mike Carubba, drums, sidelined until recently with a hand injury. He made sure he was ready to join this tour!

After they all return from Europe, Cool Cool Cool have six stateside dates, including sets at Jazz Aspen Snowmass and the Great Blue Heron Music Festival.
