The Wood Brothers at The Caverns: A photo essay

I had the honor to photograph The Wood Brothers at The Caverns in Pelham TN August 23. This venue is wildly cool to catch a show at if you haven’t been there yet. It was a truly amazing experience. Their special guest, keyboard player Ric Robertson, opened the show. The Wood Brothers are Chris Wood, upright bass and bass guitar; Oliver Wood, acoustic and electric guitars; and multi-instrumentalist Jano Rix.

How well the cave takes you into feeling like you’re in another world. The acoustics there are unlike any other venue I’ve been to. The Caverns also offers tours to their other network of caves that span miles throughout the foothills of the Appalachian mountains. The only other place you can find these types of familiar geology is in Scotland where they share the same ancient mountain system.
