BEAT continue the King Crimson vibes

Last year, King Crimson members Adrian Belew and Tony Levin created BEAT, a quartet highlighting the music of King Crimson, including the iconic albums Discipline, Beat, and Three Of A Perfect Pair. They chose another Zappa alum, Steve Vai, to join Belew on guitar, and they invited Danny Carey of Tool to take the drummer’s seat. BEAT are back, with yet another Zappa alum, Terry Bozzio, at the drumkit.

Their new North American tour will hit 40 cities from October 9 in Santa Cruz to December 3 in Riverside. Between those California dates, they will swing all across the U.S. and into Canada. BEAT offer a brilliant insight in to Crimson world. You can read about last year’s show in Clearwater penned by outstanding photojournalist Jeffrey Moellering of Tampa Bay Music News here.

Don’t say nobody told you.
