unnamed-1MUSIC + WHISKEY + GOURMET MAN FOOD FESTIVAL

What else do you really need to know? You’ve got the basics. Everything else is details. Louder Than Life, which entered the festival field for the first time with an incredible lineup last year at Louisville’s Champions Park, is prepared to do it again, even bigger and better. The festival is a celebration of the region’s culture and cuisine with over 70 food and beverage vendors on-site, once again featuring award-winning bourbons and spirits, Gourmet Man Food, and more music than you can begin to imagine.

Just take a gander at the headliners for this monster fest: Rob Zombie, ZZ Top, Shinedown, Godsmack, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Slash with Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators, Breaking Benjamin, Seether, Bring Me the Horizon, Chevelle, 3 Doors Down and Collective Soul.

And that’s just a dozen of the 46 bands on this year’s schedule. Don’t plan on any sleep. The rest of the lineup is filled with big names and soon-to-be-smashes. There is something for every music lover to enjoy. Be sure to see your favorites, such as Sevendust, Skid Row and the Kentucky Headhunters, but also make sure you check out these bands on the rise, names you don’t know yet, such as Starset, Raveneye and All Them Witches.

The festival grounds have been expanded to accommodate four stages this year. And everywhere you go, you will find food and drink. Louder Than Life’s premier selection of bourbon, whiskey, craft beer and Gourmet Man Food is curated personally by festival creator Danny Wimmer. As you stroll the grounds, you’ll find bourbon exhibitions and sampling, along with more than 70 food and beverage vendors who will help celebrate the bourbon culture and culinary heritage of this unique American city.

ZZ Top’s Billy F. Gibbons says, “We’re amping up about making the show at Louisville’s Louder Than Life. It’s a win/win/win with rockin’ and rollin,’ terrific cuisine, and downright downable drinks. Even while performing we’ll make way to check it out.”

Festival producer Danny Wimmer says, “It isn’t often that a lineup comes together to represent a multigenerational greatest hits playlist — but I think that is exactly what I was able to accomplish with the bands playing this year’s Louder Than Life. I’ve also been working hard with our participating chefs to add even more flavors and surprises to our selection of Gourmet Man Food. And with the very best that Louisville and the region has to offer from its distilleries and breweries, I am proud to say that this festival will have something for everyone.”

Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer said, “Louisville is home to some of the world’s best music and food and there’s definitely only one area to come to for bourbon, so where else would you have a festival experience such as Louder Than Life? We’re excited that we can host this great event in such a super venue down by our waterfront and show all the music, food and bourbon fans what our city and people are all about.”

This fest truly is about the bourbon, craft beer, and Gourmet Man Food. Check out the list of heavy hitters ready to quench your thirst and satisfy your appetite:
