The Great Outdoors Jam Releases First Wave of Artists!

The Great Outdoors Jam returns for its third year in a new location and with yet another amazing lineup. Last year’s event was superb. Musicfestnews photographer Bryan Edward said it best:

“This festival should be called The Epic Outdoors Jam next year!”

Festival organizer Kenny Blair searched for a bigger location for his event and struck gold at the beautiful Fields of Renninger’s in Mount Dora FL. The Great Outdoors Productions and Don’t Fret Entertainment are excited to welcome you to four days of music, art, camping, and fellowship with family… and with outstanding music all four days!

Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Aqueous and Broccoli Samurai all just threw down incredible sets at AURA Music and Arts Festival, and all are headed to GOJ 2016. Baltimore’s Pigeons Playing Ping Pong headline two nights with their outrageous funk and rock. Aqueous made their first Florida appearance at AURA and are excited to bring their high-energy groove rock back to the Sunshine State from Buffalo. And Broccoli Samurai from Cleveland is set to throw everybody into a jamtronic trance.

GOJ 2016 also welcomes Lucidea, Atlanta’s amazing electronic jam duo. Tweed brings ‘jamchonica from Deladelphia’ (for those in need of an interpreter: psychedelic electronic rock from Philly and Delaware).

Two of Atlanta’s best groove rockers will also be in “the house:” Copious Jones has been a mainstay at Florida festivals for years (we’re trying to adopt them), and Voodoo Visionary are becoming frequent visitors (they will also play Little Manatee Jam Fest April Fool’s Day in Ruskin).

Many of Florida’s best will join in the party, of course, including gypsy swamp rockers Come Back Alice, funk juggernaut Holey Miss Moley, and jam-filled Displace, all of whom played Hulaween and have dozens of festival appearances each. The Juanjamon Band delivers delirious funk, as does Ajeva (about to release their new album, Evolve).

Russ Bowers Isn’t Dead Yet finds the Receptor Sound and Lighting magician and Orange Blossom Jamboree host on guitar, having a Dead blast. (The band is hosting an April Fool’s Weekend party in Daytona Beach) Justino and the Difference play excellent originals and absolutely blister ‘70s fusion. Add to that the sheer joy of Este Loves and band and the wonderfully understated Boxcar Hollow, and you’ve got a tremendous first wave of artists for GOJ 2016.
