Lettuce TAUK about Saturday

Saturday, October 15th, Denver is getting blessed with an absolute treat of a night of music. First, we’ve got local up-and-comer Maddy O’Neal, formerly one half of Krooked Drivers, who has been on a serious hot streak lately, getting the nod to open for Pretty Lights at Red Rocks and several other tour stops, as well as releasing her first solo project, Introspect, back in July.

Then, we’ve got French imports Geek x Vrv. The duo are touring the States this month, showing off their own brand of the electro-hip-hop-soul genre, recently supporting other major touring acts such as Griz and STS9. Following them is TAUK, the Long Island-based recent darling of the jam scene, currently about a third of the way through their coast-to-coast tour, promoting their new album, Sir Nebula.

And finally, set to headline is the Brooklyn funk band-turned-psychedelic juggernaut Lettuce. These are some of the busiest guys on the block. If they’re not touring or making an album together as Lettuce, they’re touring with side/solo projects, collaborating with other artists, or releasing their own individual new tunes. All in all, when you see Lettuce perform, you know you are seeing world-class musicians hit a level of groove that can only be reached through the nearly two decades the group’s been together.

So yeah, I suppose you could say expectations are a bit high for Saturday at The Fillmore. With Lettuce, TAUK, The Geek x Vrv and Maddy O’Neal, all set to take the stage, sneaking out for a smoke break is going to be tough.

Not in the Denver area? Fear not! Lettuce is all over the place this fall on their Sounds Like A Party tour; check below to see when they’ll be in your neck of the woods.
