NEVER MISS WANEE WEDNESDAY HAPPY HOUR!

If we said this last year, you’ll forgive us. You certainly know the mantra NEVER MISS A SUNDAY SHOW. We want to make sure you know this one, too:

NEVER MISS A WANEE WEDNESDAY!

The three-day Wanee Music Festival (Thursday, April 19 – Sunday, April 21) will once again have its Wednesday Happy Hour, and those are some of the happiest eight hours you can spend (not to mention that it saves a lot of hassle getting to the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park a day early anyway).

This year’s edition is an all-Sunshine State extravaganza (look, we’re claiming Ben Sparaco, even though he’s in Nashville now). At the top of the list is Jimi Meets Funk, the incredible homage to Jimi Hendrix with the Roosevelt Collier Trio. Collier has taken this all over the country, and the trio truly tears it up every time. Collier has just released his first solo album, Exit 16.

South Florida’s Crazy Fingers bring their homage to the Dead. They’ve been at this for a long time (their first show was Hallowe’en 1990!) and been Wanee regulars. Ben Sparaco and the New Effect just released a new single, “There Is No Them,” in December. Now a Tennessean, we know Sparaco came from South Florida (he is a graduate of Stoneman Douglas High School) and has also performed with Crazy Fingers. He is a true guitar slinger.

JUke have also graced Wanee often and bring some nasty-ass blues from Miami, led by harp wizard Eric Garcia. And Jacksonville’s Bonnie Blue, whose new album No Lookin’ Back is sensational, are yet another perfect addition to this insanely happy hour(s).

Two-for-one. Five-for-one. Who’s counting? It’s HAPPY HOUR! Stop on in!
