Your Guide to the Best Parties of Movement Festival
Movement Festival, or to pioneer attendees known as “DEMF” for Detroit Electronic Music Festival, is one the longest-running techno and dance music events in the world. In the “Hart” of Detroit, the festival is centrally located in downtown on the riverfront spot of Hart Plaza. The festival is known for showcasing techno music, legendary parties, and drawing in people from all over the globe. This year headliners include Detroit native and house DJ Claude Vonstroke, Loco Dice b2b The Martinez Brothers, and the Wu-Tang Clan, who are closing the festival in celebration of their 25th anniversary.
Two months out, and the journey to Movement has already begun with parties coast to coast in preparation for the Memorial Day weekend fest. Here’s our full breakdown of parties to attend before, during and after the festival:
