Intimacy and Excellence are at the Heart of Safety Harbor Songfest

The Safety Harbor Songfest will be returning this weekend on Saturday April 7th for its 5th annual music and art festival featuring two stages and more than a dozen musical acts. This intimate, warm setting always provides the perfect atmosphere for wonderful music.

Fantastic Negrito, who played Songfest last year shortly after scoring his Grammy, returns with his great amalgam of blues and soul. Meiko is also back to perform on the Waterfront Stage along with other acts including Josh Ritter, Michael Glabicki of Rusted Root, and Larkin Poe. Roving musicians from the Urban Gypsies of Florida will be among the attendees, and everyone will able to enjoy a myriad of activities “combining whimsy and playfulness” such as yoga and local food vendors along the Old Tampa Bay waterfront.

There will be more excellent blues, folk, and numerous other genres with Selwyn Birchwood, Betty Fox Band, EZRA from Black Taxi, Danielle Mohr, Ari Chi, Jonnie Morgan, Mountain Holler, Kristopher James, and Derek Hoke.

This event is aimed at fostering family, camaraderie, and collaboration among artists and attendees which, as the lineup and past performances have come to show, is something the Safety Harbor Art and Music Center is surely up to provide!
