The West Coast Comes to the West Coast! (Daedelus & Wylie Cable Sighting)

What does that mean? It means Southern California is coming to Tampa, to Ybor City’s Crowbar, on Saturday, July 28th, as Daedelus and Wylie Cable bring their tour to Florida’s West Coast. Those two L.A. legends will hit the Crowbar in the midst of a dozen dates together ranging from San Diego and Toronto to Chicago and Denver, with Miami also in the mix.

Daedelus (Alfred Darlington) has been performing for 17 years, with dozens of recordings and remixes to his credit. This hip hop and electronic artist is also a producer; he uses the Monome and a laptop. He is also associated with the internet radio service Dublab. He says:

“I’m running the road in July and August. I truly hope to see you at one or more of these. This is no end; in fact the music is now free to wander even farther, and myths grow bigger, and we’ll have this night to tell them to each other.”

Wylie Cable, also from L.A., is as busy as founder of Dome of Doom Records as he is as a performer. He has been on the scene for seven years, producing dance and electronic music. His most recent recording is “Lunatic Bard.” Cable’s motto:

“One foot in the grave, the other gets used for skateboarding.”
