Ben Sparaco and The New Effect: Fall Tour, New Album

Ben Sparaco and The New Effect are continuing to make great strides with their music. The first big stride, of course, was Sparaco’s move from the comfort of the south Florida music scene to Nashville, which has chewed up and spit out far more than it has embraced. Sparaco and compatriots are alive and just fine, thank you very much.

They’ve toured across the country, released a second album, and just headlined a special American Roots Saturday & Backyard Campfire Sessions in Nashville last weekend. They’ve graced the Wanee stages several times, and on this tour they will play the City Winery Harvest Festival and Big Orange Music Festival. The first date of the tour is tonight — Thursday, September 27th — in Nashville at The East Room.

Their blend of Americana, rock, blues and soul digs down deep, and Sparaco is a superb guitar slinger on top of all that. The band’s new album is titled Greetings from Ben Sparaco and The New Effect. The band: Ben Sparaco, guitar, vocals; Adam Discipio, bass; and Anthony Quirk, drums; along with help from additional friends: Adam Gorman, guitar, vocals; Mike Weberman, tenor saxophone, keyboards; Josh Foster, keyboards; and Johnny Murray, guitar. They are represented by Magnolia Roads.
