Bass and Grass? LOTS of Bass and LOTS of Grass!

There are camping festivals, urban festivals, destination festivals, cruise festivals, and other varieties. But none of them are quite like this:

A four-day weekend (October 18-21) full of Fishin’ and Pickin’, four miles west of Perry, Georgia, at a legendary fish camp. Weekend culminates with Saturday night Barnyard Jam. An all-inclusive VIP Retreat and Getaway full of music and adventure!

Brett Bass and Melted Plectrum

That perfectly describes the ninth annual Bass and Grass, which kicks off Thursday night with supper and will keep you full of, well, bass AND grass all weekend long. Here’s the story about the bass:

Fishing will be conducted from john boats with electric trolling motors. Expect non-stop bass action from top water lures, crank baits and, of course, the old reliable soft plastic worm. Swap fish stories and vie for the “LUNKER” prize all while floating on Goose Lake, a 100-acre private paradise of angling heaven. If you don’t want to go out in a boat, the community dock is a favorite gathering spot for good fishing and great company.

Now about that grass, or ’grass, or bluegrass, which really also means folk, Americana, and whatever other labels you like. The musical lineup is an amazing list of heavy hitters, starting with Jim Lauderdale and Jon Stickley Trio! Those are in addition to perennial Bass & Grass favorites Nikki Talley & Jason Sharp, Steve “Big Daddy” McMurry, Gove Scrivenor, Bobby Miller, Rev. Jeff Mosier, Brett Bass, Fil Pate, and Walter Forbes.

Maximum Bass and maximum Grass are your weekend objectives! Perry GA is your destination.
