The Melody Trucks Band Busy Schedule Features Numerous Festivals
The Melody Trucks Band got started on their 2019 campaign with a show in Stuart FL and then at the Community First SeaWalk Festival in Jacksonville. Their tour schedule boasts six more festival appearances, with the first one this Saturday (March 2nd) at the Tifton Rhythm & Ribs Festival.
Three dates with superb boogie-blues band JUke from Miami include a big show at 1904 Music Hall in Jacksonville with Bonnie Blue, Ginger Beard Man, and the Corbitt-Clampitt Duo. Melody Trucks and company will headline Swamptown Getdown in Waycross, and they’re part of the great Wanee Block Party at Revolution in Ft. Lauderdale along with Jaimoe’s Mississippi Allstars.
The band will also play at the inaugural Suwannee Rising, helping to fill the voids created by the demise of the Bear Creek Music and Arts Festival and more recently the demise of the Wanee Music Festival, the brainchild of Butch Trucks and The Allman Brothers Band. The anticipation for this one is over the moon; early-bird tickets sold out immediately. And they return to Orange Blossom Jamboree in May, where they made a huge splash at last year’s fest.
The Melody Trucks Band are: Shane Platten, bass, vocals; West Brook, slide guitar, vocals; Shaun Taunton, drums; Melody Trucks, percussion, vocals; Isaac Corbitt, harmonica, vocals; Willis Gore, guitar, vocals; and Brady Clampitt, guitar, vocals.
Their outstanding repertoire is interwoven with rock, blues, funk, Southern rock, built on the legacy of Melody Trucks’ father, Butch. In addition, Willis Gore plays with the outstanding band Bonnie Blue; West Brook, Platten, and Taunton perform as Ginger Beard Man; and Corbitt and Clampitt also play as a duo.
