Welcome to Rockville Rock Festival is Just a Few Short Weeks Away

We are just a few short weeks before Florida’s biggest rock festival that kicks off on May 3-5 at Metropolitan Park in Jacksonville, Florida. Welcome to Rockville, the three-day rock and roll mega-festival, continues to bring some of rock’s biggest names to north Florida for a weekend where thousands of hard rock music fans gather annually.

If you have attended Welcome to Rockville in the past, you know that what you will experience is the very thing that draws you back year after year. From sights, sounds and smells to the hardcore crowd-surfers and the menacing mosh pits, the bands that typically play Rockville know how to energize the crowd and keep the vibe going all weekend long. If you’re going for all three days of this music festival, be sure to ask the boss for Monday off to recover from a weekend of hard rocking and even harder partying.

With a solid commitment to bringing the best names in rock, Danny Wimmer Presents is the music festival production and promotion company that has developed a solid following since the first Welcome to Rockville took place in 2011. The music festival continues to sell out the event annually to a dedicated fan base that has come to expect the very best lineups of touring rock bands that can be delivered. Danny Wimmer, who originally hails from Jacksonville, got his start in the local music scene when he opened downtown Jacksonville’s musical melting pot The Milk Bar. His deep commitment to keeping rock music alive was forged by working early on with emerging bands, leading to a career as a music executive and ultimately transitioning into the concert promotion side of the business. Danny Wimmer Presents has continued to develop new markets that satisfy the thirst for traditional rock and roll bands in a music festival-style format.

The 2019 edition of Welcome to Rockville is certainly not a surprise with its lineup of heavy-hitting rock groups. Korn, Rob Zombie and Tool are the headliners along with a ton of bands that are certainly capable of headlining any other festival, including Judas Priest, Evanescense, Chevelle, Shinedown, Incubus, Bring Me the Horizon, all scheduled to take the stage.

Fans will also be thrilled to learn that heavy metal legends Judas Priest will be making their debut at Rockville when they join the headliners on Saturday. Also on the bill for the multi-day event will be The Cult, Flogging Molly, Papa Roach, Tom Morello, The Struts and more.

General Admission and VIP passes as well as hotel and camping packages are on sale and are available by visiting the festival’s website. Click on the links below for more information.
