Slayer’s Final World Tour Hits North America in May

One of the most highly regarded and controversial metal bands of all time — Slayer — will take their final curtain call at the end of their current and appropriately titled Final World Tour when it comes to a close in early 2020.

Two-time Grammy Award-winning thrash metal rockers Slayer will bring the fifth leg of the tour across the US and Canada, starting on May 2 in Phoenix, Arizona, and wrapping it up stateside on May 25 in Mansfield, Massachusetts. Slayer on tour will be supported by Lamb Of God, Amon Amarth, and Cannibal Corpse.

Slayer has been rocking worldwide audiences for over 38 years, and this will be the final chance to see the legendary band perform live before they hang it up. Longtime original Slayer members Tom Araya and Kerry King are credited with writing all of the songs featured in every one of the 12 studio albums released from 1981 to present. The current lineup consists of Tom Araya (vocals, bass), Kerry King (guitar), Paul Bostaph (drums), and Gary Hart (guitar).

Slayer is credited with developing the trash metal genre of music and has produced several mega-hits including “Raining Blood”. “Angel of Death”, “Seasons in the Abyss”, “South of Heaven” and “Dead Skin Mask.” If the recent Youtube concert videos of these hard-hitting rockers are accurate, you can expect Slayer to go out kicking and screaming with a heavy set of guitar riffs and leave a lasting legacy to be remembered for the electric shows that have been a part of their DNA for over three decades.
