Brainquility Announces Phase One Lineup for February Fest

The Brainquility Music Festival is back for its third time and second in the magnificent pine tree confines of the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida, February 6-8. We’re not sure what Brainquility means, but we are sure it’s NOT brain tranquility, because this lineup will shake you and the park from top to bottom!

Phase One is here, and we are pumped! Who’s ready to see The Floozies rock the park? The electro-funk brother duo of Matt Hill (production, guitar) and Mark Hill (drums) have been rocking stages across the country, including their recent set at Electric ForestRuss Liquid will bring his New Orleans electronic funk to the park, while Kill Paris from L.A. will deliver his glitch hop, heavy chill, and future funk. Chicago quartet Chachuba will fill two days with their dance/jazz fusion.

The Colorado representation is strong this year, as two spectacular Boulder trios will blow up Brainquility. SunSquabi and their electronic hydro funk will travel east, as will DYNOHUNTER, playing the greatest livetronica. And DJ/producer Maddy O’Neal from Denver will perform as well. O’Neal and DYNOHUNTER played Suwannee Hulaween last year, and SunSquabi rocked Jam Cruise in January.

Producer/guitarist Cloudchord does the chill hop thing, and Calgary’s Defunk offers heavy uptempo bass with live keyboards. Vocalist/producer Megan Hamilton hails from Minneapolis, and Gainesville’s SIDE TRAKD features deep house and future funk.

To top it all off, excellent St. Petersburg soul/pop/rock quintet Honeywhat will perform, featuring wonderful vocalist Danielle Mohr.
