Marvelous Funkshun Deliver on Their Name
This is the sixth year that Wilmington NC quintet Marvelous Funkshun have taken their marvelous funk, rock, jam, blues, and R&B far and wide, delighting audiences wherever they go. July was a busy month for them, capped off by their appearance at Floyd Fest.
Next weekend, they bring their great jams to Florida for two shows, Friday (August 16) at Guanabanas Island Restaurant & Bar in Jupiter and Saturday at Dunedin Brewery. Over Labor Day weekend, Marvelous Funkshun will play both Friday and Saturday at Front Porch Fest in Stuart VA. In October, they will play a show in their home town with guitar wizard Eric Gales.
The band has two live albums — Live in the Camel City (2019) and Live at Ziggy’s (2017) — and two studio EPs — Dos (2018) and Marvelous Funkshun (2017). Check out our Spotify playlist below.
