Voodoo Visionary Unveil New Single “Rings Around the Sun”
Their summer tour of the South is now drifting north through North Carolina to Virginia Beach and Maryland, and yesterday Voodoo Visionary unveiled the new single “Rings Around the Sun!” It was recorded among a handful of tracks earlier this year at Prana Recording Studio. The outstanding artwork is by Breze Schmitz. The tracks were mixed by Andy Headland and Will Clark; mastering was done by Chris Griffin. This song features keyboard player Dennis Dowd. Everybody is credited with backing vocals, including Clark and Brad Parsons. Listen now!
The Atlanta band of merry funksters hit Martin’s Downtown in Jackson, Mississippi, tonight (Saturday, August 3). Next weekend finds them at Tap Shack, Doc Taylor’s Seaside Market Lounge, and then a show at Baltimore’s West Shore Park – Inner Harbor with LITZ. September will find Voodoo Visionary swinging through Texas for a pair of shows and another pair in Colorado.
Voodoo Visionary are: Trent Gilson, bass; Scottie MacDonald, vocals; Jose “Pipo” Rivera, percussion; Mac Schmitz, drums; Marcus White, keyboards; and Mike Wilson, guitar.
The boys have been sensational all spring and summer long, as we noted at a show in Tampa May 31 and at their superb set at the inaugural Suwannee Rising. They will have more fall dates to announce shortly. In the meantime, jump on these shows and discover what all the buzz is about!
